We read about some interesting fun facts about Texas in our previous post of the ‘know your state’ series. Being an IT outsourcing firm, we were happy to discover that Texas is adopting the mobile approach by implementing the ‘online ticket payment’ system, where the users can pay for their speeding tickets online.
The next state that we ventured was Washington.

The floating bridge capital of the world

Washington is the state of U.S. with a population of over 6 million. Olympia is the capital of Washington. The popular cities of Washington are Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Vancouver, Bellevue.
The key industry of Washington is design and manufacture of jet aircraft, computer software development, and online retailing. Its largest city, Seattle, is known for its thriving tech industry, vibrant music scene and famed coffeehouses.
Seattle is also a home to a brand that wakes you up in the morning – Starbucks.
Technology giant, Microsoft, is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. The most popular eCommerce firm Amazon is also headquartered in Washington.

Washingtonians doesn’t have an income tax to pay. It is a place surrounded by mountain which gives you a blended view wherever you are in Washington.
Popular tourist attractions consists: Space Needle, Mount Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, Snoqualmie Falls, National Geographic Museum, Museum of Flight, and Seattle Art Museum.

A state that thrives technology

Washington imports far more tech workers than it creates. Being an IT outsourcing firm, we were glad to know this fact. Washington is fostering women in tech by initiating Ada Developers Academy, a women-only programming school. Data processing and software development is the major technology branch of Washington accounting $1.7 billion. Seattle is said to be the next Silicon Valley of the States.
